No Rest for the Wicked Items — All Consumables, Materials, and Key Items
Updated 2026-06-03
Items in No Rest for the Wicked fall into three categories: consumables (healing, buffs), materials (upgrade components), and key items (quest items, keys, lore objects). This guide catalogs every item available in Early Access and their locations.
Consumables
| Item | Effect | Where to Find |
|---|---|---|
| Healing Salve | Restore 30% HP | Craftable, enemy drops |
| Antidote | Cure poison | Merchant (Nameless Pass) |
| Fire Coating | Fire damage on weapon | Craftable (oil + cloth) |
| Stamina Tonic | Instant stamina restore | Rare drop, hidden chests |
| Pestilence Ward | Temporary corruption resist | Boss rewards |
Upgrade materials
Materials are found by killing enemies, breaking crates and barrels, looting chests, and salvaging gear. Each region drops different material tiers. The Marsh of Echoes is the best early source of Tempered Steel. The Cathedral of Bones drops Pestilence Ore from elite enemies.
Key items
- Map Fragment — opens the full zone map in the hub.
- Cathedral Key — unlocks the shortcut in Cathedral of Bones.
- Hermit's Journal — triggers a side quest chain.
- Cerim Amulet — required for story progression, cannot be sold.
Never sell key items. They cannot be reacquired. If an item has a yellow border in your inventory, keep it until the quest is complete.
The Crafting entity page explains how to use materials. The Walkthrough shows item locations in each zone.
FAQ
- Is there an item cap?
- No. Your inventory can hold unlimited items. Materials go to a separate material pouch with no cap.
- What should I prioritize buying from merchants?
- Always buy Antidotes before entering the Marsh of Echoes. Stamina Tonics are a worthwhile investment for boss fights.
